These grants are designed to significantly improve Australia's EV charging infrastructure by providing smart chargers where they are most needed, while putting Australian businesses on the EV charging map.

Explore the current EV charging grants available to Australian businesses and councils:

New South Wales

Funding Available:

• 75% of the cost for eligible 7 kW and/or 22 kW smart EV chargers (up to 4 chargers per site)

• 75% of installation costs (up to $3,000 per charging port)

• 75% of the first year of an eligible annual EV charger software subscription

Eligibility:

• Sites located in an eligible regional NSW local government area (LGA)

• Approved destination type per guidelines

• Listed on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)

• No more than 4 existing EV charging ports

Western Australia

Funding Available:

• 50% of the cost for eligible 7 kW and/or 22 kW smart EV chargers (up to 8 chargers per site)

• 50% of installation costs (up to $5,000 for urban sites and $10,000 for regional sites)

• 50% of electricity network upgrades (up to $150,000)

• 50% of the first two years of an eligible EV charger software subscription

Eligibility:

• Not-for-profits registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission

• Local government authorities

• Small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

• Charge point operators
